House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer is a friend and ally in Congress fighting against the extreme right-wing agenda of House Republicans. Together we stood up against the budget passed last month that privatized Medicare, one of the most popular and successful government programs in our nation's history. Republicans choose to cut Medicare for our seniors, while at the same time extending tax breaks for big oil, and continuing budget deficits for years to come. Together we denounced these draconian cuts to one of the programs we value the most.
