Congressman Connolly Endorses Rob Krupicka for Senate in 30th District

Today I am pleased to announce my enthusiastic support for, and endorsement of, Rob Krupicka as the next State Senator from the 30th District.

Rob is an exceptionally qualified candidate, and will make an excellent addition to our region’s delegation in Richmond.  Coming from local government myself, I know Rob’s service on the Alexandria City Council will be an incredible asset in the State Senate. He knows firsthand how the decisions made in Richmond affect the local governments, and citizens, of Northern Virginia. I believe that perspective is desperately needed in the delegation.

Through his work on the City Council, the State Board of Education, his environmental leadership with Alexandria’s Eco-City program, his in depth knowledge and advocacy for mass transit solutions, and his state and national experience on early childhood education policy, he has established himself as a progressive champion for Northern Virginia. I have no doubt he will take that same dedication, work ethic, and belief system to Richmond, where he can continue fighting for our region.

This race has attracted three worthy and capable candidates, all with laudable records of public service.  Delegate Adam Ebbin is a legislative leader with a record of accomplishment on the environment and civil rights.  Arlington County School Board Member Libby Garvey has a long record of local service and is a leader on education issues. But Rob is the standout.  He has the experience, energy and character to be an effective leader in the State Senate.  He will fight for Alexandria, Arlington and Fairfax in Richmond, helping us get our fair share of transportation and education funding.  I fully support his election, and I encourage voters in the 30th State Senate district to do the same.
