Congressman Gerry Connolly’s Campaign Internship Program

An internship with the Connolly Campaign allows students to get an up close look at the electoral process. Interns gain experience in the field of campaign finance and learn how a successful campaign operates. Interns assist in all aspects of the fundraising process including donor research, maintaining our donor database, making contribution calls, planning and staffing fundraising events. Additionally, interns will gain experience in other areas of the campaign such as field operations and communications.

Part time internships are available in the fall, spring and summer. Internships are open to students at any point in their college careers as well as high school juniors and seniors. Internships are unpaid but students are welcome to apply for college credit.

Application Process:

To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume to [email protected]. The cover letter should be a brief (no more than 300 words) explanation of your interest in the internship program and how it would help you achieve your academic or career goals.
